Detailed Person Requirements
  • You will have a sound technical and practical background in general construction, with experience of swimming pool construction / associated landscaping
  • Be a CWR ambassador and customer facing
  • Have 2+ years of experience in the construction or swimming pool industry, preferably with plumbing experience
  • Have a sound knowledge and skills in plumbing and an understanding of heating systems or swimming pool heating technology
  • Be able to read and interpret drawings
  • Flag any practical issues with the design team
  • Have experience of working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Be highly organised with the ability to plan and prioritise work with your project manager
  • Demonstrate ability to use initiative to solve problems on site
  • Own a Clean UK Driving license and be clean and professional in appearance
  • Knowledge and experience with excavating equipment and hardscape installation a bonus
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety policy and legislation / CDM regulations
Example Tasks
  • Plant room fit-out from start to finish – Working with one other you will be expected to follow plumbing schematics to fit out plant rooms typically containing three filters
  • Installation of pipework between pool to plant room
  • Installation of pool fittings into pool shells
  • Pressure testing and sign off of pipework installed
  • General construction including laying of coping, decking
  • Installation of 24v electrical system in our plant rooms to enable remote system control and monitoring
  • Ordering of key components from suppliers
  • Checking on subcontractors work for quality and dimensional accuracy, and ensuring site checklists are completed
This is a permanent, full time role with a start date of mid-November. Salary £25-35,000.

We are looking for two maintenance operatives/engineers to work together and form a new team to maintain approximately 25 water features across the UK that The Fountain Workshop (Maintenance) Limited currently manage. This is a number that is increasing every year and, in order to make sure that we are able to continue supporting our clients to the high standard they expect, we are looking to establish another maintenance team, primarily servicing our projects in London and the South East.

Ideally, you would come as a pair, having worked together previously with a proven track record of achieving results and getting along, however, we will also consider individuals with the right talents and qualities. This is a rewarding position that will allow you to ensure that both the client and the public are able to continue enjoying these beautiful bespoke water features.

While you will be under the direction of our maintenance coordinator, you will be mostly working independently, so this is a job for people with a 'can do' attitude. We will provide you with training and guidance, although it is essential that at least one of the two operatives is a qualified electrician. You will be required to produce maintenance reports (including water quality control reports and other administration and paperwork/record-keeping) and be able to anticipate and prevent general problems. Experience of water filtration and chemical treatment systems plus an ability to troubleshoot and solve problems (including electrical fault finding) is essential.

  • Must be able to carry out electrical repairs and installations along with any planned maintenance
