New editor announced for spn (Swimming Pool News) and What Pool & Hot Tub titles
Following a six year association with spn (Swimming Pool News) and What Pool & Hot Tub, Alan Lewis the Co-Publisher and Editor is leaving the magazines to focus on a number of other publishing projects. Alan had been editing the titles since Go Publishing Ltd acquired them from Archant back in 2006.
Taking up the editorial reins will be Jon Wadeson, currently the Operations Director at the magazines.
Both titles will now be published by Aqua Publishing Ltd which is jointly owned by Tony Weston and Jon Wadeson.
Speaking of the new venture and changes, Jon Wadeson commented: "With Alan deciding to concentrate on his other publications, it was an easy choice for me to take over as Editor. I’ve been involved in publishing for 20 years, the last five of which have been with spn (Swimming Pool News) and What Pool & Hot Tub and a number of people within the industry already know me. I’m really excited by the challenge going forward and we have a number of new ideas already planned for 2013."
Tony Weston added: "I understand Alan's decision and wish him all the best with his future plans. The change though represents an exciting new beginning for the magazines and the transition will be as seamless as possible. Aqua Publishing Ltd will be putting maximum effort into the titles to ensure they maintain their status as the leading magazines within the markets they serve."
