Maximum Filtering With Micron Filters From Golden Coast
Ultra-efficient filtration is the minimum you should expect from quality water filters, but combine that with greatly reduced water waste and greater cost savings, and you have the peerless Waterco Micron Bobbin Wound Filter range – available from Golden Coast.
“Waterco’s reputation for innovation, exceptional manufacturing standards, and superb filtration systems is unmatched in the market,” said Adam Clark, General Manager at Golden Coast.
“The Micron range is the perfect example of this. Not only are they outstanding filters from a performance point of view, but the robust construction — built from woven strands of seamless fibreglass — gives excellent structural integrity and ensures low maintenance and a long lifespan.
“As it’s a one-piece construction, there’s no worry about welds possibly failing over time and leading to operational issues. Microns are built to last.”
Traditionally, star filter lateral layouts will usually have ineffective “dead legs”, but thanks to the unique lateral fishtail configuration found in Micron filters that has been eliminated, giving more efficient filtration. The system’s filter bed maximises hydraulic performance and water flow distribution. The upshot of this is that the amount of water used during backwash can be reduced by up to 30%. This not only offers effective savings on energy use and resources, but also considerable savings on the running costs.
Both Side Mount and Top Mount models of the Micron Bobbin Wound Filters are available tank sizes of 500, 600, 700, 750 and 900mm. All models include a large sand dump port for easy winterisation and sand changes, and Side Mount model also feature a large, easy-access clear lid for quick servicing and inspection.
