SERVICE ENGINEER REQUIRED (SOUTH)
Pool Sentry Ltd is a small, family run business that provides nationwide supply of goods; installation of equipment; service and repairs; and training and technical support to the Leisure Industry. This is a varied role with an opportunity for career development for the right candidate. The role has a storage base in Fareham and you will be working alongside a Senior Engineer from the Southampton area. You will be travelling across the South of the country to various sites/customers.

We are seeking a Level 1-2 Swimming Pool Engineer to join our team to help cover the day-to-day tasks of the company, including (but not limited to):
  • Assisting Senior Engineer with servicing/maintenance (including dosing systems, filtration systems, pumps, microbiological sampling, water quality maintenance etc)
  • Working with swimming pools, spas, saunas, outdoor pools
  • Basic administrative responsibilities & time management/organisation
  • Travel between sites & the Pool Sentry storage base
  • Monitoring the Company’s web-based pool data and SMS alerts
  • Helping keep the Pool Sentry storage areas clean & tidy
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out with due diligence and guidelines with respect to relevant legislation
With training, the successful applicant will become more independent and responsible for their own area/sites.

We are looking for a candidate who is a logical thinker, quick learner and has good problem-solving skills. Ideally, you will have a mechanical/plumbing/electrical background. You do not need to have Swimming Pool experience for this role. You will need to be computer literate and confident with technology. You will need to have strong customer service skills and a real passion for your career. The right candidate must be a confident and comfortable driver. You will have the opportunity to undertake any relevant training and we are always open to hear ideas of what you think could help you to grow.

Requirements
Level 1 & 2
  • Valid driving licence (any endorsements and accidents will need to be referred to the Company’s motor insurers)
  • Satisfactory DBS check
Level 2 (once trained)
  • Sound basic electrical knowledge
  • Sound basic plumbing knowledge
  • Current Asbestos Awareness qualification
  • Current Level 1 Confined Spaces qualification
  • Current CSCS card
  • Pool Plant Operators Certificate at Level 3 or equivalent
Working Hours & Benefits
This is a full-time, permanent position. The basic working hours will be 8:30am - 5pm Monday - Friday but there is a level of flexibility required due to the nature of the industry/work.

There is normally no work at night or over weekends and Bank Holidays. Between Christmas and New Year, we aim for there to be no scheduled work and to operate on a strictly emergency call out basis. There have been less than 10 call outs during this time in the company's 14-year history!

You will be provided with a company telephone, company laptop, company van, specialist tools, uniform and appropriate PPE.

We are always open to training ideas and career development opportunities, especially within the structures of the Company.

We have a friendly team environment where full support will be provided. Most of our team have worked for Pool Sentry for over a decade, making us a close-knit and loyal unit. We are looking for another member to join the Pool Sentry family.

You will receive 20 days holiday per year, plus Bank Holidays.

There will be some overnight stays close to customers.

Accommodation will be booked and paid for, with a tax-free subsistence allowance payable in accordance with HMRC guidelines.

The salary is for this role is £20,000 - £25,000 per annum dependent on experience, with real opportunities for career advancement and regular reviews.

You will be travelling across the Midlands and North Wales, primarily around Leicester, Derby, the North of Wales and at the Ashbourne base.

We are seeking a Level 2-3 Swimming Pool Engineer to join our team to help cover the day-to-day tasks of the company, including (but not limited to):
  • Assisting Senior Engineer with servicing/maintenance (including dosing systems, filtration systems, pumps, microbiological sampling, water quality maintenance etc)

  • Working closely with customers to provide quotations, training (especially how to run their pool efficiently), stock checks, help with Health & Safety legislations and provide sales advice alongside a Senior Engineer (Level 3)

CONTRACT MANAGER REQUIRED
Buckingham Swimming Pools Ltd is looking to recruit a full-time Contract Manager to join our existing team.

Our Contracts Managers are responsible for ensuring that each project runs seamlessly, from client interfacing to working with our in-house design department and a team of engineers. The successful candidate must hold a full UK driving license and experience in construction management.

SERVICE ENGINEERS REQUIRED
Buckingham Swimming Pools Ltd is looking to recruit experienced and self-motivated Pool Engineers to join our existing service and maintenance team.

The ideal candidates should be enthusiastic, conscientious and have a good knowledge of pool plant operation, both residential and commercial. Must be able to work proactively, demonstrating knowledge in pool and spa operating procedures including filtration, heating and chemical dosing systems. Good knowledge of automatic pool covers, and electrical systems would be advantageous.

THE ROLE:

HOT TUB / SWIM SPA INSTALLERS REQUIRED
Due to continued demand for our goods and services, we require strong and agile people to join our team, under the supervision of our Operations Manager.

Installing hot tubs and swim spas, this full-time role requires working mainly outdoors, in and around the Essex / Hertfordshire areas.

THE ROLE:
  • This role is a position mainly working outdoors
  • Hours are based around 8am-5pm
  • You will be offered full product training
  • You will be carrying out hot tub / swim spa installations and provide customer training
  • You will be attending appointments and deliveries
  • You will need to be physically fit and strong enough to load, unload and move the hot tubs / swim spas, and use best methods and guidance of Health & Safety
  • Swimming pool and hot tub valeting

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to swim
  • You must have a full clean driving licence and experience of driving a van both with and without a hot tub trailer and you ideally must be 25 or older to be covered for driving a company vehicle. (If under 25,* then you must have your own vehicle)
  • You must be able to work on your own or as part of a team when required
  • You must be well presented with a personal manner as this is a customer facing role
  • You will be flexible in your approach to the job with a 'can do' attitude
