FT Leisure Appointed For Cheam Refurb
Cheam Leisure Centre has provided a venue for local residents to enjoy a variety of leisure pursuits since 1938 and Sutton Council is investing £3.3m on major repair works to extend the life of the facilities well into the future.
This includes replacing the swimming pool roof, replacing the heating and ventilation systems to the pool and the water treatment plant as well as additional refurbishment including replacing some windows.
F T Leisure has been appointed to carry out a full rip out and replacement of the filtration plant for the 30-metre 6-lane swimming pool including supplying and installing new circulating pipework. The site is already set up and work has started on the refurbishment of the building; completion is targeted for November.
Other recent F T Leisure projects include Dundee’s Olympia Sports Centre, the Michael Woods Leisure Centre in Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre.
