SRS Leisure Team Swim 25km In Charity Challenge
SRS Leisure staff members have taken to the pool to complete a 25km swimming challenge to raise funds for swimming related charities.
A team of staff swam continuously to clock up the kilometres, and in doing so exceeded the fundraising target of £2,500, by raising in excess of £2,700.
The ambitions challenge marks the company’s 25th birthday as a successful swimming retail business within the health, leisure and fitness industry, so a big swim was the perfect challenge.
The funds raised by SRS Leisure will be donated to Level Water, a charity offering free swimming lessons to children with disabilities who ensure they become safe and independent in the water.
The second charity to benefit from the SRS Leisure swim challenge is The Swimming Trust who encourage more people to swim more often with confidence.
James Male, Head of Fundraising for The Swimming Trust said: “On behalf of The Swimming Trust and its trustees I would like to thank SRS Leisure for their kind donation as a result of their sponsored swim yesterday. Without the support of businesses, organisations and individuals we would not be able to do the work we do.”
